Why Does Abortion Matter?
Abortion takes the lives of almost 1 million babies each year. Totaling to over 61 million in the last 46 years, the number of innocent lives taken is staggering. However, what many fail to realize is that the unborn are not the only victims.
Women who have had abortions are six times more likely to commit suicide. They often live self-destructive lives which include behaviors such as eating disorders, substance abuse, abusive relationships, and promiscuity. Many re-live the abortion through memories or nightmares involving lost or dismembered babies.
Women still die from an abortion. Some may never be able to carry another child.
Men involved in the abortion may suffer the same types of emotional stress. Their symptoms may include depression, shame, nightmares, substance abuse, and violent behavior.
Women who find themselves in an unplanned pregnancy often respond in the despair and fear that they may initially feel. They need someone to come along beside them with the truth about abortion and pregnancy. This is what HOPE Pregnancy Resource Center exists to do. At HOPE, we reach out to women who find themselves in a crisis pregnancy. We offer free ultrasounds, pregnancy tests, and parenting classes as we walk along beside these ladies through their pregnancy.

You can register at RunSignUp.com or by mailing in the registration form. We will have race day registration from 7:30-8:15 AM.

A Few Rules:
Children 7 and under must be accompanied by an adult...no exceptions.
Strollers are welcome! Route has been modified to accommodate strollers.
Free t-shirt size guaranteed only on registrations received before August 15, 2018. Additional t-shirts will be available on the day of the race for a cost of $5.00 each, first come first serve.
There will be no refunds.
Entries are non transferable.
The race will be held rain or shine.
HOPE reserves the right to cancel the event in the case of an emergency, registration fees will not be refundable in such a case.
In lieu of the registration fee, runners and walkers may solicit sponsors to support their participation ($30.00 minimum sponsorship). We encourage all participants to solicit as many sponsors as possible to assist the women, children, and families of Anson County. Funds must be turned in along with sponsor sheets and registration forms by September 12th.

Parking and the Lot:
Parking will be available at South Piedmont Community College. You will be directed to open parking upon arrival.
Race Day Packet
Race day packet may be picked up on race day and may also be picked up on October 4th from 2:00-4:00 PM at HOPE Pregnancy Resource Center at 148 E. Morgan Street in Wadesboro, NC.
Race day packets will include your t-shirt (if included in registration) and special materials from our sponsors.
Awards
Awards will be given for 1st, 2nd & 3rd overall female finishers and the 1st, 2nd & 3rd overall male finishers.
Top 3 finishers in the stroller division.
